What is Y.I.E.L.D.

YIELD is a 14-week pre-apprenticeship program that helps young adults learn the skills needed for good-paying Union jobs in the Construction and Building Trades Industry.


Earn money, acquire credentials, and gain the information necessary to choose which job in the Construction and Building Trades industry appeals the most to you.

What Does the Program Include?

  • Certificate in OSHA 10
  • Certificate in First-Aid and CPR
  • The core curriculum taught is from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). 
  • NCCER credentials are recognized industry-wide and will allow you to apply for good paying Union Building and Construction Trade jobs across the country.


These credentials are maintained by NCCER and can be verified for any prospective employer. These skills are valued wherever you go. 


  • You can also participate in on-the-job training currently paying $15/hr 
  • Supportive services including assistance with transportation and childcare may be available
  • You may qualify for help getting full-time employment in an apprenticeship program after completing the training program

  • Young Adults
  • Male or Female
  • Age 18 or older with a High School diploma or GED
